Science Fiction Screen Graphics Poster and Zine
2022, Print, Photoshop
A poster designed for a fictional event at New York’s Museum of Arts and Design. The event is for an exhibition that details the history and use of screen graphics in science fiction movies.
The poster uses many elements commonly used in science fiction screen graphics. This includes, binary code, grids, glitches, hiragana characters, and other elements.
The poster is meant to look like a graphic used in a science fiction film, in order to give the viewer a glimpse into the elements that often make up screen graphics in science fiction films.
The zine delves into Denis Villeneuve and his science fiction films’ screen graphics. Looking at Dune and Blade Runner: 2049, the zine shows examples of the designs in action. The zine uses imagery and typography from the films to create cohesion between the zine and the look of each film.
