Loyola Chicago Club Football: Instagram Posts and Recruitment Posters

2022, Social Media Content / Print, Photoshop / InDesign

A series of Instagram posts designed for the Loyola Chicago Club Football team. Each post is to highlight a senior player on the team. The designs were created to celebrate each senior on the team before their last home game of the season.

The LUC letters were created in Photoshop to resemble the typeface used in the 2002 film Chicago. The usage of the four 6-pointed stars are representative of those used on the iconic Chicago flag. The “Y” placed in a circle is a nod to the three branches of the Chicago River, each designed with Loyola’s colors.

Connecting these posts to Chicago’s heritage was an important part of the design process, as Loyola’s Club Football team is one of only two collegiate tackle football teams located within Chicago.

The two poster designs for the team were used both online and in print. The goal was to create an eye catching design to draw new recruits to the Loyola Chicago Club Football team. Both were used at the Loyola club fair; the first design as a poster and the second as flyers to be handed to prospective players.
