A school project that entailed creating a short animated film of any style or genre using any way of animation learned in the class. Brandtulf is a hand-drawn animation, with every frame drawn in Photoshop. The animation takes narrative influence from Norse mythology as it follows the titular character Brandtulf who encounters the Norse goddess Freyja.

Elements of the Norse age world in the animation are inspired by the world of video games God of War (2018) and God of War: Ragnorök. For the animation style inspiration was drawn from legendary animation director Genndy Tartakovsky’s TV shows, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Samurai Jack, and Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal.

Included is the full animation, along with the concept art of locations, Freyja, and multiple iterations of Brandtulf (originally named Freyulf) created before beginning animating.
